Success at Royal Jump Officiel
We went to get a good result and to prove ourselves at 4*L and by gosh did we do it! To come away with the win was some serious icing on a bloody amazing cake.
I’m so so grateful to Flash Cooley and his enormous heart of absolute gold. He ALWAYS tries his best in everything he does and even though he’s only 15.2hh he just grows everytime he competes - he’s my real life super hero unicorn.
Simply perfect in all 3 phases, he lead from start to finish with a superb FOD. Thank you so much @prudawes7 for your support with this special wonderful little horse. I couldn’t love him anymore 🦄
Cooley Park Muze was utter class in his first 4*L - he performed a beautiful dressage, absolutely cruised around the XC and came out and jumped an unbelievable round for the unluckiest breath on the last fence for 5th place. He really is some talent for the next few years! Thank you to the Rex syndicate for your enthusiasm and support (and bringing more supplies for the very warm humans!!!)
Our two 7yos Chilli’s Joker and Looking Chilli, owned by Chris and Lisa Stone, managed to use some of their brain cells all week for a good qualifying result in their first 2*L. We are starting to think about Le Lion and the exciting future these two both have! They are now exhausted and need a few weeks without me teaching them stuff! 🤣🙈
The week certainly threw some challenges with the weather - hot was an understatement - it was well over 32 degrees everyday with no way of getting out of it - seriously hot stables and no power there but with some great team work fans were rigged up for the horses and with lots of electrolytes and water drunk for humans and horses we managed!🥵
Cannot even begin to tell you how hard our little super hero @georgie_driver worked everyday, 4 horses in a 3 day event on your own was one hell of a mission. What a pint sized machine she is. Thank you. 🙏
Thanks to Gaz for rigging up fans and bringing supplies of water constantly and also driving the truck home when we were all dead to the world 😴
Serious team work really does make the dream work!

The 2026 Season Has Begun!
After a great few weeks jumping in Spain, we're back on home soil ready for a sunny season of eventing! First event of the season was Poplar Park. All the horses put in great dressage tests and lovely double clears, a great set up for the Kronenburg 4*. Next up was Oasby, where Looking Chilli and Chilli's Joker secured a double win in their respected sections in the BE100! The next event for the mega 7 year olds was the beautiful Tweseldown. Both horses maintained their competitive streak with Chillis joker ending in 3rd! Super excited for the rest of the season - we're certainly off to a great start!

We did a Millstreet double!
Wow what an absolutely crazy time we are having 🤩
Firstly before anything else I want to say thank you to my incredible team. Without doubt, their unbelievable ability to leave no stone unturned together with their absolute dedication to our horses is the key to this run of success.
A super quick turnaround from Bicton at the beginning of last week to leave for Millstreet with a VERY full truck!
I knew I was going to Ireland with pretty good fire power and horses that were on form but never did I dream of doing a double!
Cooley Park Muze owned by the Rex Syndicate was unbelievable, finishing with a showjump in hand to take the win in the 3*L.
Chilli’s Jester owned by Chris and Lisa Stone and Chris and Clare Mathias was also brilliant, I just had to take a long route XC due to being a little green at the beginning of the course, but he grew in confidence and finished brilliantly, coming out on the last day and giving every showjump at least a foot to finish 9th.
Both Rex and Jester are seriously exciting horses for the future.
Flash Cooley owned by Pru Dawes lead the 4*L convincingly from start to finish to take the win, putting to bed the stupid fence we had down that cost us the win 2 years ago! What a horse he is, I absolutely adore him, he always gives his all and is just such a darling little boy.
Chilli Morning IV (the current 7yr old World Champ) owned by Chris and Lisa Stone was tackling his first 4* S. He was super if a little green in the dressage and showjumping but sadly just didn’t understand the new sunken road on the XC. I did eventually manage to persuade him to pop down it and made a huge fuss of him for doing so, but we got the big E. I’m not bothered he’s a baby and he will learn - he’s so intelligent that next time he will believe me that it’s ok!
Long drive home! Huge love for Gaz for driving! 😴
Got home at 7.00AM straight onto Chilli King for a flat work session and then onto Felbridge for second rounds and Grand Prix!
Both Brendon Stud boys jumped mega but no HOYs tickets that day!
BUT our amazing Dime Bar owned by the Dime Syndicate only went and WON the Grand Prix - jumping unbelievably and beating some VERY good combinations! Seriously chuffed with that!
We headed home for some sleep 😴and to re pack (again) and we’re now on our way to Bramham!
