A trip to THE best XC schooling facility in the world!
A trip to THE best XC schooling facility in the world!

We were so lucky last week to make the trip down to Somerset to simply the best XC schooling facility in the world at Team Dumas’ Rosamund Green Farm and we were even blessed with a gorgeous warm sunny day! After all the awful weather we’ve had recently we made the most of it and gave all the horses a brilliant xc school ready for this weekends competition at Burnham market. We had 11 horses in total from the yard 7 for me 👇🏻Cooley Park Muse, Johansome, Jalapeño, Chilli Morning IV, Chilli King, Chilli Jester & Flash Cooley. I want to say a HUGE personal thank you to the Dumas for all their effort with the ground, the jumps, the facilities and just being a class above. Makes a very long day worth every second

We very sadly decided not to run our 3 lovely 4* horses at Thoresby.
We very sadly decided not to run our 3 lovely 4* horses at Thoresby.

It was such a shame after they all performed lovely dressage tests but although it was very much drying ground we felt that for our horses it just wasn’t going to dry enough this time.

For Jalapeño & Johansome it would have been their first competitive runs this year and neither are huge fans of mud either!

Now if we could turn back the clock and I’d had Arctic Soul on the lorry I wouldn’t have even questioned it!! We’d have been out there giving it a good go!

I have no doubt people have had great runs today but I felt it wasn’t the right thing to at this time of year and this stage with our horses who all have exciting plans this year!

It looks like we could have good weather forecast for the next few weeks and so we are quietly starting to think we might be able to look forward to the rest of the season with some super fit horses. Bring it on!

I do want to say a massive thank you to Stuart and his team at BEDE Events, I thought they did an amazing job despite the weather and it was a fantastic course (a real pre- Badminton test) and I can tell you it was a seriously hard decision to make after two sleepless nights!! 🙄🙈

A huge thank you to our wonderful owners who all fully supported our decisions this weekend - the horses ALWAYS come first with us all which is so important!

Onwards and upwards now and we can’t wait to put all the training we have done over the winter into practice!

Absolute love all of the pictures of our three very special horses by the amazing Hannah Cole Photography, AGAIN.

YoYo's first party for a while...

Johansome (Yo Yo) headed out to his first party for a while!

He was so so happy to be out at that wonderful Coombelands Equestrian, we are so so lucky to have such a brilliant facility so close with super courses and a great surface.

Yo Yo jumped a beautiful round in the 1.30m and he even added in some extra jumps just because he loves it so much 🫣🤪

He really is the most wonderful horse to ride, I’m so very very lucky and so excited to have him to produce this year for some very exciting things.

Now at 9 years old he’s ready for some VERY grown up parties!!!

Thank you so much to his owner Linda Allan for all her support with this beautiful boy💙💙💙
