Genuinely cannot believe that we are 7yr old WORLD CHAMPIONS! 🌶️🧡🏆

Thank you so much Quattro 🫶🧡 for trying so hard all week, and especially in the showjumping, leaving all the poles up! 

What a feeling! Mondial du Lion really do put on a fantastic show and make it feel like a proper world championship. 

I could not be more chuffed and thank god I’ve remembered how to win. Pretty awesome way to finish the season! 

I cannot thank Chris and Lisa enough for all their support, I’ve been riding for them for 18 years and these sort of weekends are what we work so so hard for. 
Thank you my whole team, this win is for you!

Officially exhausted myself last week with 7 event horses at Hartpury!😱 
Thank god for my Eco Voltz Electric bike as that saved my legs walking all the courses. 

Cooley Couture owned by Pru Dawes was a WINNER in the 2*L. She pulled out an incredible performance to nab the top spot out of over 90 starters. So proud of this wonderful 7yo, she’s utter class in every way 🤩

Chilli’s Jester owned by Chris and Lisa Stone and Chris and Clare Mathias, was brilliant in the 2*L, sadly one pole down on the last day kept him from a top ten finish, but considering how close we were to losing him last autumn we are just thrilled with how much he loves life. 

Cooley Park Muze owned by the Rex Syndicate and Chilli Morning IV owned by Chris and Lisa Stone, were both brilliant in the Novice Champs to both finish on their dressage scores for 4th and 9th. 
The future of these 4 young horses is beyond exciting! It’s keeping me in the sport! 

Chilli Knight owned by Chris and Lisa Stone was back to his brilliant best in the 4* with a classy double clear and finishing in the money. The best part is that we were back to our best xc, like on rails again - bring on Burghley! 

Chilli King owned by Chris and Lisa Stone and Chris and Clare Mathias was doing his first 4* and my god was I proud of his performance in every phase. 
He gave me the most lovely double clear with a super test but I took him steady xc to give him time to understand the questions. What a future he has. 

Jalapeño in the 4* decided she would much rather be totally in control of me rather than work with me this week!

She’s 16 and my god is she set in her ways! So a few little XC chats between us were required and I tried very hard to explain that I would rather not gallop flat out into a square table with one’s head in the air! 

Anyway that’s what these runs are for and we are looking forward to Blenheim with her! 

Hope you’re not all too bored now, but I need to say a HUGE thank you to Hartpury for the most incredible amount of effort - the courses were serious - up to height and the ground was amazing. So much work went in to producing what it was and it was incredible. 
And an extra special thank you for making my times work! I know that was stressful!!! 🙈

Last but definitely not least, my team…… no words can describe how hard all my girls work, every horse was ready, immaculate and on time for every phase. Also my girls at home who have kept everything else going, even with horses competing at Hickstead as well with some stand in jockeys!!! So much goes into this and I cannot thank you all enough for having my back always. 
Thanks Gaz for driving and being there for me - telling me I can always do it, even when I’m having a wobble! 

It might be me on the horses but it takes a village to get me there. 
So many exciting things to come!!

Hartpury International with 7 horses!

I let all the horses have a break after the spring season while we were doing some jumping and also having a short break ourselves.
7 horses 5 prizes and two just outside the top 10 with steadier xc rounds - not bad for a rusty first run back! 
It was amazing to have Chilli Knight and Jalapeño out in the Advanced feeling absolutely incredible in all three phases for 3rd and 4th. 

Cooley Park Muze was a WINNER 🥇 and utterly brilliant in his intermediate section and Cooley Couture was beautiful for 🥈 in hers. 

Chilli Morning IV went beautifully in his intermediate section for one touch SJ and a steadier XC round. 

Star of the day was Chilli King who did his first Advanced. He was so solid in all 3 phases and his XC round was really quite special. This horse reminds me of Arctic Soul, his gallop and jump is just ridiculous, exciting times! 

Lastly Chilli’s Jester was 🥈 in his novice section, is feeling really established and now ready to move up. 
Thank you to my whole team, it was a long few days but worth it when they all go so well and the jockey remembers what to do!!!

Just when I thought last week was long! 

Today my alarm went off at 1.10AM, again Charlotte Overton and April Kitchener were earlier! 

5 horses, 4 humans 3 grown up dogs and 7 puppies to Osberton! 

The horses all went super around some really tough courses today. 

2x 🥈 places, the two 7yos both placed and one super but steady XC round. 

These 5 young horses are probably the best I’ve ever had so it’s worth it for them. The rebuild is real! 
I cannot thank my whole team enough, serious dedication.

The young superstars all have great runs at Osberton International


We had our 3 big baby boys all competing in the BE 100 on Friday…

Chilli Morning IV owned by Chris and Lisa Stone, was just incredible in his first phase to lead the dressage and he went on to jump a super SJ with just a baby rail down and a beautiful clear XC to WIN his section. I have to pinch myself that I get to ride him 😍

Cooley Park Muze owned by the newly formed Rex Syndicate was having his first ever BE run an wow did he impress everyone (including the judges who gave us a score of 15 - yes you read it right!! A 15 dressage!! He then jumped a slightly green showjumping round in the mud but went on to have a superb xc round giving me a serious feeling to finish 5th! He is such an exciting horse for the future 🤩

Chilli’s Jester owned by Chris and Lisa Stone and Chris and Clare Mathias, although very green was such a good boy and did a lovely steady double clear after a slightly wobbly dressage.
He’s a full brother to our amazing Chilli Knight so we have high hopes for his future but he needs plenty of time to strengthen and mature.

What an exciting bunch of baby boys we have!! 💙💙


Babies' day out at Burnham Market International Horse Trials

We’ve been out eventing for 4 out of the last 8 days and it’s been sunny on every single of them. In MARCH! I’ve been more grateful than anyone can imagine but I do feel like we are all going to be punished for it!!! 😬☀️ 
After our fantastic start to the season at Poplar, Chilli King and Cooley Park Muze made the trip to Oasby last Thursday for an Open Intermediate run each. Both went absolutely beautifully with an 8th and 2nd respectively. These two are the real deal no doubt about it. 🫶 what a future. 
Then we headed to Costa Del Tweseldown at the weekend with Jalapeño and Flash Cooley in the Open Intermediate and Chilli’s Jester in the Open Novice.
Jala did a 26 dressage and a super steady double clear, and Flash Cooley smashed it for a 20.9 dressage and added nothing for a fab win🥇 
Jester’s tiny touch of a showjump cost us the win but he was felt amazing and so much more grown up. A very exciting start with all our event horses. 
We are now trucking to Belgium 🇧🇪 for two weeks showjumping with the jumpers - we’ll be back on 🇬🇧 soil in time for Thoresby - don’t worry!

A sunny start to 2025 with the eventers!

Was it all fun?! Definitely not! A 2.00AM alarm clock, dressage in minus temperatures (I think my toes have only just thawed out 🥶 and a VERY long day. 
BUT 4 horses & 4 double clears with one winner made it absolutely worth it. Do I feel knackered today ?! Definitely!! 
Cooley Couture, Flash Cooley and Chilli King were all in the OI and just went for steady double clears while their very out of practice jockey remembered how to ride XC! 
It’s amazing to have little Flash Cooley 👻 - back he feels so good and was his usual gorgeous run self all day🫶🏻 🥰 
The ground and courses were absolutely fantastic. Pretty impressive considering the winter we have had! 
Cooley Park Muse came along for a nice sweetener to start his season in the ON and managed a lovely win finishing on a 23 dressage! Good boy Rex! - Huge thank you to some of his syndicate for the cheerleading 🥳 
Thank you, as always to Charlotte and Gaz all the help. What a ridiculous sport we all love so much! 🤣🙈

Poplar Park Horse Trials - First 2025 event under our belts! 😮‍💨

HONG KONG 🇭🇰 genuinely feels like this big puff of the most amazingly cool dream cloud!! ☁️ 

What a week. What a horse. What a team we have. 

We went at 100mph the first few days, seeing as much as we could of the incredible country, it’s like living in the future, we loved every minute of it! 

From cable cars, to the races, to Chinese food in the city, to boat rides, to more cable cars, to Pandas. All shared with the most crazy but brilliant humans!! It was AWESOME! 

Then the competition, well Dime was just unbelievable all 3 days!

Day 1 - was our first 6 bar class out there and we made it to round 4 of 5 with just one tiny mistake, but we still managed a super 4th place finish, in the money and prize giving! 

The second of the two 6 bar classes came and he was simply unbelievable! We  made it through to the 5th round and only went and WON it.

I thought London was maybe a fluke but Dime says no way Mum I’m good at this! I was beyond chuffed and seriously, seriously proud of our boy 🖤

The last and final day was The Puissance 😱 (it really isn’t my favourite!) But I pulled on the big girl pants and again made it to round 4 and finished a creditable 5th, in the prize giving and money again!

What a horse, so consistent and he really did give his absolute all. I’m so unbelievably grateful to him for taking us all to these unreal shows and smashing it!! 

I cannot thank all the people around me enough, physically and at home… it’s been an absolute blast and you were all awesome support! 

So much fun and sooooo much banter! It really was a dream week. 

We headed off to Tweseldown today to XC school 10 horses! Straight back to it 😴

Dime shines in Hong Kong!

Envoy Merelsnest Z (Dime) was on fire today at The London International Horse Show, winning The Cavago Six Bar, jumping 1.95m!!

I don’t think it was a dream? Was it?! Genuinely cannot believe it… 

Thank you to our wonderful Horse, Dime you’re my hero. Thank you to all the Dime syndicate what a day we had! It’s a bit of a blur!

Envoy Merelsnest Z takes the win in the Cavago Six Bar at The London International Horse Show!

In the grand scheme things, it’s not a huge deal, but to me, last week was rubbish and I’m still pretty gutted about it.

As professionals, we work tirelessly to get to compete at these big events and we had been aiming Jalapeño at Blenheim all year. We left no stone unturned in her prep and did everything we could to make sure she absolutely peaked at the right time, (which we think she did), we just didn’t pull it off 🏇🏿

After a superb dressage test, (it was just so lovely to ride), we had everything to play for and she was utterly brilliant around the xc all the way to the 2nd last fence that is.

We were 4 ish seconds up on the clock so I took my time to set up and she jumped in really well, I took another pull to say careful and to make sure she looked at the fence but she slightly misunderstood me and just ended up not quite getting to the second part.

Is it the end of the world? Absolutely not, but it’s bitterly disappointing especially as she finished full of running and completed the following day with a clear showjumping which means we would have won by 4 penalties!

I have been coming to Blenheim for years and years and it’s one of my absolute favourites, I’ve been placed in the top ten so many times and it’s always been a massive aim and dream to win, so I’m very cross with myself that I have let this win slip. 

Huge doubts cross your mind…. Am I good enough, am I ever going to get it right?? As someone who has a huge will to win it’s so hard not to. BUT we have to pick ourselves up and train harder and be better, have a good cry and move forward, remind ourselves of perspective in life. (Sorry Gaz I’ve been beyond a grumpy cow bag for 3 days!!) 

Huge well done to Tim Price, utter class as always (must be more like Tim!!) and also to Daisy Berkeley for her fantastic 2nd 🥈 what an absolute star and so good to see you back at the very top!

Chilli King also competed in the 8/9yo although on paper it wasn’t perfect, he was a very good boy and tried very hard, and the feeling he gives me XC is unbelievable. He’s waiting for the big time stuff!! 
How smart does he look in his new Orange Horse Consultants bridle and breastplate?? 🧡🧡

Blenheim Palace International Horse Trials

WHAT A HORSE!

Alfie, you are incredible 🧡 

We started on Thursday with a 29.7 dressage test. This was a great mark, and the standard was high so we finished the dressage phase in 18th place.

Alfie then was incredible to then go from 18th ➡️ 6th  after jumping around the biggest cross country track I have ever ridden 🤩

He came out strong on the final day but had an unlucky pole in the showjumping, moving us to 9th place over all.

Defender Burghley Horse Trials 2024

We had a face paced show at Pyecombe this weekend, with Warrior Special (Kenya) jumping unbelievably to jump 3 amazing rounds to WIN the newcomers second round and qualify for HOYS, 🥇 that’s ticket no.3! Klent Spot On also unbelievable for such an unlucky touch in the final Jump off.

Dime Bar owned by the Dime Bar Syndicate had two great rounds in the 3* 1.50m World Ranking classes to set him up for this week’s The Hickstead Derby! 

We did manage to qualify for the Grand Prix we decided to save his legs and set him up for Hickstead instead. We jumped some seriously big tracks which definitely kept us both on our toes!! 

Our amazing Johan-Some (YoYo) owned by Linda Allen really is enjoying his new career! He WON the Eventers’ Grand Prix and then was placed the next day in a 3* 1.40m! What a horse - he is a complete freak of nature and I am absolutely loving being back in his saddle!! 

Klent Spot On owned by Shirley Light at the BRENDON STUD is really starting to show just how talented he is with a clear and placing everyday in the 1.30m. He’s really consolidating at this level and it won’t be long before he steps up! 

My brand new ride, 7yo Warrior Special owned by Nadia AL - Mutawa, was also absolutely brilliant. We have gelled so quickly! He was also clear everyday and we really went for it in the 7yo Grand Prix final but he just touched the last fence in what was a very fast time! You win some, you lose some! I have no doubts whatsoever that he will be super competitive in the very near future!

I’m so grateful to all my team and my owners and so excited to be building a small but perfectly formed string of “proper” jumpers to go with my world class Event horses!
