The star of the show was Envoy Merelsnest Z (Dime Bar) who won the 1.45 GP on Monday, having already won the 1.40 on Saturday!
We adore him and Iâm so lucky to have the opportunity to ride him. Thank you to the Dime Syndicate and Shirley Light. In 2nd place in Saturday's 1.40 was the Brendon Stud's Pandito Van't Merelsnest (WiFi) heâs been away competing and winning with the amazing Richard Howley so I was very anxious to try and do him justice. Phew đźâđš good boy!!
RSH Monbeg Marshal (Basil) - who is for sale - came 3rd in the 1.30 on Saturday, and 2nd in the 1.40 on Sunday!
The Brendon Stud's Ashent Go Ballistic (Azure) was 4th in the Newcomers on Sunday, with Klent Spot On (Kung Fu) coming 5th in the Foxhunter, and then 3rd in Monday's Foxhunter.
WiFi won the 1.40 on Sunday with Basil coming 2nd!
It was great to have Johan Some back in the showjumping arena, with a lovely double clear in the 1.30. đđ đđ đđ
5 horses over 4 days of jumping in every weather from âfeels likeâ -10 degrees to gale force winds and rain. Thank god for our WeatherBeeta UK rugs to keep the horses snug and for Coldstream Equestrian for keeping me from losing my mind from the cold đ„¶
Dime Bar was an absolute star with placings in 2 1.40m classes and then jumped super in the ranking Grand Prix for just one down, we havenât jumped a Grand Prix since August last year so I was thrilled and great practice for Spain!
Cooley Park Muze (Rex) and Monbeg Marshall (Basil) were super all show with some great placings and they both learnt so much.
Cooley Couture (Penny) stepped up to jump in the 2 star 1.30m with a brilliant clear in the small tour Grand Prix - weâre all chuffed to bits with her - sheâs only 7yo!
Chilli King forgot to pack his brain for this show đ, but it was very very good learning curve for him.
Huge thank you to Kelsall for taking the plunge and running a fab international. There were a few teething issues but the team were great at fixing them all quickly - it really is the most brilliant facility, with a top class surface for the horses.
I will definitely be supporting in the future.
If next time they could organise the weather to not be quite so horrific, that would be even better!! đ€Ș
