What a week we had at Equestrian at Bolesworth with our team of jumpers!
What a week we had at Equestrian at Bolesworth with our team of jumpers!

Nina and her team really do put on a fantastic show we absolutely love going! I just wish they could run more! 🤩
Dime Bar owned by the Dime Bar Syndicate had two great rounds in the 3* 1.50m World Ranking classes to set him up for this week’s The Hickstead Derby!

We did manage to qualify for the Grand Prix we decided to save his legs and set him up for Hickstead instead. We jumped some seriously big tracks which definitely kept us both on our toes!!

Our amazing Johan-Some (YoYo) owned by Linda Allen really is enjoying his new career! He WON the Eventers’ Grand Prix and then was placed the next day in a 3* 1.40m! What a horse - he is a complete freak of nature and I am absolutely loving being back in his saddle!!

Klent Spot On owned by Shirley Light at the BRENDON STUD is really starting to show just how talented he is with a clear and placing everyday in the 1.30m. He’s really consolidating at this level and it won’t be long before he steps up!

My brand new ride, 7yo Warrior Special owned by Nadia AL - Mutawa, was also absolutely brilliant. We have gelled so quickly! He was also clear everyday and we really went for it in the 7yo Grand Prix final but he just touched the last fence in what was a very fast time! You win some, you lose some! I have no doubts whatsoever that he will be super competitive in the very near future!

I’m so grateful to all my team and my owners and so excited to be building a small but perfectly formed string of “proper” jumpers to go with my world class Event horses!
Busy busy!

Now onto Hickstead! Wish us luck! 🖤

It was a boys trip to Pyecombe with 4 stallions and 2 geldings all jumping superbly over the 3 days!

The star of the show was Envoy Merelsnest Z (Dime Bar) who won the 1.45 GP on Monday, having already won the 1.40 on Saturday!

We adore him and I’m so lucky to have the opportunity to ride him. Thank you to the Dime Syndicate and Shirley Light. In 2nd place in Saturday's 1.40 was the Brendon Stud's Pandito Van't Merelsnest (WiFi) he’s been away competing and winning with the amazing Richard Howley so I was very anxious to try and do him justice. Phew 😮‍💨 good boy!!

RSH Monbeg Marshal (Basil) - who is for sale - came 3rd in the 1.30 on Saturday, and 2nd in the 1.40 on Sunday!

The Brendon Stud's Ashent Go Ballistic (Azure) was 4th in the Newcomers on Sunday, with Klent Spot On (Kung Fu) coming 5th in the Foxhunter, and then 3rd in Monday's Foxhunter.

WiFi won the 1.40 on Sunday with Basil coming 2nd!

It was great to have Johan Some back in the showjumping arena, with a lovely double clear in the 1.30. 💙💙 💙💙 💙💙

A fabulous Kelsall Hill International Show Jumping Show!
A fabulous Kelsall Hill International Show Jumping Show!

5 horses over 4 days of jumping in every weather from “feels like” -10 degrees to gale force winds and rain. Thank god for our WeatherBeeta UK rugs to keep the horses snug and for Coldstream Equestrian for keeping me from losing my mind from the cold 🥶

Dime Bar was an absolute star with placings in 2 1.40m classes and then jumped super in the ranking Grand Prix for just one down, we haven’t jumped a Grand Prix since August last year so I was thrilled and great practice for Spain!
Cooley Park Muze (Rex) and Monbeg Marshall (Basil) were super all show with some great placings and they both learnt so much.
Cooley Couture (Penny) stepped up to jump in the 2 star 1.30m with a brilliant clear in the small tour Grand Prix - we’re all chuffed to bits with her - she’s only 7yo!
Chilli King forgot to pack his brain for this show 🙄, but it was very very good learning curve for him.

Huge thank you to Kelsall for taking the plunge and running a fab international. There were a few teething issues but the team were great at fixing them all quickly - it really is the most brilliant facility, with a top class surface for the horses.
I will definitely be supporting in the future.

If next time they could organise the weather to not be quite so horrific, that would be even better!! 🤪
